MEETING WITH  KENYA -FRANCE FRIENDSHIP GROUP AT THE NATIONAL ASSEMBLY

Led by Chair Ms. Louise Morel, the France-Kenya Friendship Group at the French National Assembly hosted a meeting with Hon. Gladys Boss Shollei, Deputy Speaker of Kenya’s National Assembly and H.E. Ambassador Betty Cherwon With the Africa Forward Summit approaching, discussions centred on deepening parliamentary ties and advancing shared priorities between Kenya and France. Deputy Speaker Shollei welcomed the planned participation of French parliamentarians at the Summit, noting that their engagement would strengthen parliamentary diplomacy and build enduring relationships. She emphasised that stronger legislative collaboration can drive partnerships in trade, climate action, energy, blue economy, and infrastructure, backed by parliamentary support.
