HOSTING OF THE KENYA PARALYMPIC TEAM
PARIS, 7 September, 2024
The Paralympic team had a chance to engage with the Embassy team in Paris. On Saturday 7th September 2024, Ambassador Betty Cherwon hosted the Kenyan Paralympic team 2024 at the residence.
The team, comprising officials and Athletes, has been in Paris and participated in several events, including para-athletics, para-powerlifting, para-rowing, para-taekwondo, para-triple jump, and para-cycling. Also in attendance was Hon. (Dr.) J. Kosgei (nominated MP).
Ambassador Cherwon engaged with the team and congratulated them on their performance, which saw Kenya win a silver medal in the triple Jump. She encouraged them to draw lessons from the games and use them for future preparations.
The Paralympic games yesterday ended on a high note with Kenya having proven itself as a powerhouse of talents. The next Olympic and Paralympic games will take place in Los Angeles in 2028.
