SCHENEIDER PARIS MARATHON

Paris 13th  April 2025

It was a proud moment for Kenya at the Paris Marathon as Kenyan athletes dominated the race. Benard Biwott claimed a commanding victory in the men’s race, with Sila Kiptoo coming third, and Enock Kinyamal and Dominic Ngeno rounding the top five. Angela Tanui delivered an impressive performance in the women’s race to claim third place. Their achievement in Paris is a source of immense national pride and a testament to Kenya’s depth and enduring legacy in athletics.

Embassy staff, fellow Kenyans and passionate fans were at hand to cheer on the team.  Hongera wanariadha wetu – a truly proud moment.

Earlier on, Head of Mission,  Ambassador Betty Cherwon had visited the athletes to give them the much-needed moral support prior to the big race.
