A multi agency delegation led by the Principal Secretary for Water and Sanitation, Julius Korir, CBS, paid a courtesy call on Ambassador Betty Cherwon at the Kenya Embassy in Paris. The Principal Secretary updated the Ambassador on the Government of Kenya’s partnership with Agence Française de Développement (AFD), highlighting flagship programmes including the completed Northern Collector Water Project, the Nairobi Water & Sanitation Project, the Lake Victoria Water & Sanitation Program (LVWATSAN), and the Mwache Downstream Works — co financed by AFD and the Government of Kenya at approximately EUR 320 million (Kshs 65.852 billion). The meeting also focused on deepening collaboration on climate resilience and exploring new city to city partnerships between Kenyan and French municipalities for improved water management.
