ENGAGEMENT WITH DIRECTOR GENERAL PPF

The Founder and Director General of the Paris Peace Forum (PPF), Mr. Justin Vaisse, met today with Amb, Betty Cherwon to brief her on the organization’s planned participation in the upcoming Africa Forward Summit, scheduled to take place from 10th to 11th May, 2026 in Nairobi. Mr. Vaisse informed that the PPF intends to organize several high-level side events during the Summit and bring distinguished guests and members of its Board to contribute to the discussions. Amb. Cherwon welcomed the planned participation of the PPF and expressed appreciation for the organization’s important work in advancing multilateral dialogue and promoting practical solutions to global challenges.She noted that the Forum has become a key platform for bringing together leaders from governments, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector to address pressing global issues. The PPF is based in Paris and was founded in 2018 to strengthen international cooperation and global governance. It convenes leaders from governments, international organizations, civil society, and the private sector through its annual forums held in Paris. The 9th edition of the Forum will take place from 11–12 November 2026, in Paris. The Africa Forward Summit 2026 will convene policymakers, business leaders, and global partners to discuss opportunities shaping Africa’s future and to strengthen partnerships, investment, and innovation aimed at advancing sustainable development across the continent. Accompanying the Ambassador was the Minister Counsellor, Mr. Hussein Sheikh.
