ENGAGEMENT WITH THE ITF

Paris 7th February 2025

Ambassador Betty Cherwon joined fellow African Ambassadors for an insightful exchange at the International Transport Forum (ITF). The discussions focused on how the ITF can provide support for transport development across the continent.

The discussions were centred on opportunities available for Africa in research, policy insights and networks while also appreciating the need for sustainable mobility and capacity building.

ITF is an important partner for Kenya as we tackle issues of safety in air and roads. As a transport gateway to East and Central Africa, Kenya plays a crucial role in regional freight connectivity. As AFCTA comes into force, intraAfrica connectivity will relies a lot on good transport systems.
