On 30th October 2025, H.E. Amb. Betty Cherwon received the President’s Special Envoy for the Great Lakes, Hon. Charles Keter. The Special Envoy is in Paris to participate in the Conference to Support Peace and Prosperity in the Great Lakes region. The Conference was convened by President Emmanuel Macron of France and brought together various leaders from the region. Joining them were Mr. Hussein Sheikh, Head of Chancery at the Embassy, and Mr. Denis Wamalwa from the office of the Special Envoy.
