Passport Services
The Embassy of the Republic of Kenya facilitates processing of passports. The waiting period is minimum 3 weeks.
The Kenya Government has implemented a new e-Passport system, for issuance of new generation passports in line with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards. The passport printing will be centrally done in Nairobi. Passport applicants are required to submit their applications online on the e-Citizen platform ( https://www.ecitizen.go.ke/)
Passport Application/Renewal/Replacement
How to apply
- Register on www.ecitizen.go.ke
- Login in and navigate to Department of Immigration Services.
- Click on make application and select Passport Application (Adult or Child)
- Read the instructions carefully then fill the application form.
- Select the mode of payment and make your payment.
- Download and print the application form and the two invoices.
- Submit the application form in person to the Kenyan Embassy in Paris (After booking an appointment online >>>)
Category One
Requirements for new passport application for minors
- An eCitizen passport application form and 2 payment invoices
- Original Birth Certificate and copy
- Certificate of Registration, if Kenyan by Registration
- Original ID and copy for adults
- Three passport size photos
- Copy of the recommender's ID
- Duly filled consent for minors
- Copy of your residence card (Must be valid)
- Copies of parents' ID/parent(s) passport copy
- Incase of adopted children, please submit the adoption certificate and copy
Category Two
Requirements for passport replacement
- An eCitizen passport application Form and 2 payment invoices (Goverment and Customer)
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Certificate of Registration if Kenyan by Registration
- Original ID and copy for adults
- Three passport size photos
- Copy of the recommender's ID
- Duly filled consent for minors
- Copy of your residence card (Must be valid)
- Old passport and copy
- Incase of name change due to marriage or divorce, please attach your marriage certificate or divorce nisi
Category Three
Requirements for mutilated passport
- An eCitizen passport application form and 2 payment invoices
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Certificate of Registration if Kenyan by Registration
- Original ID and copy for adults
- Three passport size photos
- Copy of the recommender's ID
- Duly filled consent For for minors
- Old passport and copy
- Written letter explaining circumstances for the damage of the passport
- Copy of your residence card (Must be valid)
- Sworn affidavit to support the above (No. 9)
- Incase of name change due to marriage or divorce, please attach your marriage certificate or divorce nisi
Category Four
Requirements for Lost passport
- An eCitizen passport application form and 2 payment invoices
- Copy of Birth Certificate
- Copy of Certificate of Registration if Kenyan by Registration
- Original ID and copy for adults
- Three passport size photos
- Copy of the recommender's ID
- Duly filled consent for minors
- Old passport and copy
- Written letter explaining circumstances for the damage of the passport
- Sworn affidavit to support the above (No. 9)
- Copy of your residence card (Must be valid)
- Police Absract
- Incase of name change due to marriage or divorce, please attach your marriage certificate or divorce nisi
